Description
Overview of this 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback:
In 1965, Ford introduced the Fastback model as part of its Mustang lineup, adding to the existing coupe and convertible versions. The Fastback was distinguishable by its sleek, aerodynamic roofline that sloped down to the rear of the car, giving it a sporty and aggressive appearance. The 1965 Mustang Fastback was an instant success, appealing to enthusiasts looking for both style and performance.
The cost new was approximately £2136.00, which in today’s money is around £30,000 – a considerable bargain considering the performance, character and cool factor on offer. Ford produced 71,042 Fastbacks in the year 1969, out of a total 299,924 Mustangs produced that year. Made famous by films like Bullitt and Gone in Sixty Seconds, the Fastback is an American culture icon, adored by generation after generation around the world.
Now, fifty five years later, we are delighted to be able to bring to market this inimitable Fastback restomod that has been carefully curated by ex-West Coast Customs craftsman, Bear Garcia, who owns and operates Dubai Customs in the UAE.
Fastback Restomod:
Sometimes original just doesn’t do the job. This example has been sympathetically restored with a twist. From the outside it looks as good as it would have in 1969, except that underneath and throughout the cabin is an array of improvements to inspire confidence in the new owner to drive this vehicle daily.
