1976 Porsche 911 S Carrera – Left Hand Drive

Originally supplied to San Diego, California in 1976, this shining example remained the sun kissed state for 42 years before being imported by its current owner to the UK.

Once in the UK, the vehicle underwent an extensive overhaul including the conversion to lightweight specification. During this conversion, only two areas of corrosion needed attending to, which is testament to the standard the vehicle was maintained to prior to being imported to the UK.

911 Carrera RS Lightweight Conversion Specification:

• The front wing extensions housing the indicators are metal and genuine Porsche parts.
• Rear engine cover is metal with fibreglass ducktail spoiler fitted.
• Front bonnet has been replaced with a genuine Porsche period “long bonnet”.
• The front and rear bumpers are fibreglass as they would have been on an original car.

Exterior

• Factory correct Viper Green exterior
• Fuchs alloys with extremely rare deep dish rears.
• Ducktail spoiler

Interior:

• A largely original interior with black leather trim, black footmats
• Nappa leather steering wheel and dashboard
• Genuine 70’s era Porsche electric seats, 12 way control on driver’s side and 8 way on passenger.
• Porsche electric windows
• Modern radio with period face fitted

Mechanicals:

• The engine is a modified 2.7 litre flat-six, built to similar specifications as the RS engine
• Rebuilt warm-up regulator and fuel injection distributor by renowned experts KMI
• Fuel injectors have been replaced by Porsche specialists GT-One in Chertsey, who have also completed all other engine work
• 4 Continental tyres on the car have done less than 200 miles from new

History:

• The car comes with its original owner’s manual / service book featuring stamps in the warranty book that run to the early 2000’s before the car was parked up by its previous owner in California.
• Mileages verified from the last stamp to the car’s odometer.
• All invoices for engine work carried out by GT-One and KMI available
• Letter from Porsche confirms the car has matching numbers (chassis and engine)
