Description
1988 Lancia Delta HF Integral for Sale
It’s not often you find a Lancia Delta Integrale for sale in such good condition. An icon of the eighties, this homologation special has served families and rally drivers alike with fast road trips – on tarmac and dirt track.
Everyone shouts and raves about the Lancia Integrale Evo 1 and the Lancia Integrale HF Evo 2, but the Integrale 8V is not only understated, but steeped in motorsport credentials. The former are extremely valuable and according to Hagerty’s valuation tool, the Delta Evo 1 can fetch over £80,000 in concours condition, and the Evo 2 more than £100,000 in the same condition.
As a relief for you, the Delta 8V offers the same style, charm and spirited driving qualities for much less; with concours examples fetching around the £40,000 mark.
To meet new regulations introduced by the FIA in 1987, the 8V would replace the outgoing Lancia Delta HF Integrale 4WD and feature a larger Garrett T3 turbocharger, fitment of a more efficient and better placed intercooler. The result was more power and a slightly more savage performance below 5,000rpm.
The 8V was introduced at the Rallye de Portugal, and would go on to win eight World Rally victories in the remaining eleven rounds of the World Championship.
Not only that, but in the first 6 years of Group A regulations in the World Rally Championships, the Lancia Delta 8V claimed all six Manufacturers World Championships, a feat never achieved by anyone other team since.
This heritage is largely unknown to enthusiasts, which you can read more about here. We are delighted to present this Lancia Delta Integrale for sale as an opportunity to have one of the coolest classic hot hatches on the market today.
