Background of the E30 BMW 325i:
The BMW E30 325i is one of the most iconic models in the classic BMW 3 Series lineup, striking the perfect balance between everyday usability and performance. Launched in 1984 as a replacement for the 323i, the 325i offered increased power from a 2,494cc M20B25 power plant which offered around 170bhp. In 1986 a two-door sport variant was introduced as presented here, featuring Bilstein dampers, limited-slip diff, revised and lowered suspension, close-ratio gearbox (minus ‘dogleg’ change), plus 15-inch BBS alloy wheels, dechroming and limited colour choices.
The E30 325i would last only until 1990 before being replaced by the E36 in 1991. Yes, the E30 M3 steals much of the spotlight and people’s bank details but the BMW 325i offers a compelling alternative—it has the same legendary chassis dynamics but with a smoother, more refined straight-six engine and a more accessible BMW E30 price for enthusiasts looking to own a true BMW classic.
For those searching for an E30 for sale, the BMW E30 325i delivers an authentic old-school driving experience without the ultra-high costs associated with an E30 M3 for sale. Under the hood, the 325i is powered by BMW’s M20B25 2.5L inline-six, producing a distinctive exhaust note. Unlike the high-strung four-cylinder found in the BMW E30 M3, the 325i’s six-cylinder provides effortless torque and a more relaxed driving character, making it a more enjoyable classic for both spirited backroad driving and long-distance touring. Whether you’re looking for an old BMW to relive the golden era of driving or a well-priced BMW E30 for sale to add to your collection, the E30 325i stands out as one of the best choices in the classic BMW world.
